Neil K. Gehlawat
Neil K. Gehlawat is a partner with the firm, concentrating his practice on personal injury, wrongful death, and wrongful termination cases. Neil grew up in Bakersfield and graduated from Stockdale High School, before earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He then went on to obtain his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law, where he served as a Notes Editor for the prestigious Texas Law Review and was a Regional Champion in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Following law school, Neil returned to Bakersfield and joined the firm in 2012.
Since joining the firm, Neil has helped obtain numerous significant results on behalf of his clients. In 2013, Neil and David Cohn helped obtain a $2 million settlement on behalf of a young man who sustained serious injuries in a railroad accident. Currently, Neil serves on the New Lawyers Division Board for the Consumer Attorneys of California and is also the founder of the Cal Alumni Chapter of Bakersfield. He also serves on the Board for the first annual Mothers Against Drunk Driving Walk in Bakersfield along with Matthew Clark.
